2023/24 Registration
CR Knights Minor Hockey Association
Please read all information below prior to registration, as there has been some changes this season.

All players (returning and new) - There are different categories to select when registering this season. Please choose the appropriate one. For example, if you are an existing goalie in U13, U15, U18 please choose the goalie package.
Returning players - Register between June 23 - July 23, 2023, to receive the early bird price. After this date (July 24) regular rates will apply. Note that you do not need to be paid in full prior to July 23 to get this discount- you only need to be registered.
New registrants to CR Minor Hockey Association (CRMHA), please verify that your residence is within the red lines on our boundary map before registration. Boundary Map link
- If you are unsure that you reside in our boundary email registrar@crknights.ca
- If you have played in another minor hockey association and have just moved into CRMHA boundary, please email registrar@crknights.ca to discuss transferring to CRMHA. This will need to be done prior to registration.
- New registrants will need to scan and email a copy of their child’s birth certificate and 2-3 proof of residency items to the registrar prior to registration.
Please Note:
- All players (new and returning) need a valid Respect in Sport (RIS) Parent certification.
- Check - RESPECT IN SPORT For Hockey Canada Parents site to determine if your certificate has expired and needs renewal.
- Make sure that all emails, phone numbers and home address are correct and up to date when registering. These will be used for contact information for the Association.
- Registration fee covers all expenses for ice rental, referee fees, Hockey Alberta and Northern Alberta Interlock league (NAI) fees. They do not include team fees for tournaments, team building, extra ice, etc..
Credits:
All volunteer fee and AGM fee credits have been attached to registration packages. If you feel that you are missing a credit, please contact registrar@crknights.ca before completing registration.
Payment methods:
Credit card payment
If you choose to pay your fees by credit card, you must complete the online registration and select the credit card option as the payment method. We can not process credit card payments without a completion of registration.
There are 2 options for credit card payment
- Pay in full - Registration fees due at time of registration
- 4 payments -A initial payment of 10% is due at time of registration, subsequent payments will be: July 23, August 23, September 23, and October 23.
- If a payment does not go through your credit card, there will be one attempt to contact you for a new credit card number before your child is moved to a waiting list for their division.
- If your first 2 payments are missed your player will be removed from evaluations. If 3 or 4 payments are missed the player will be removed from practices and games until payment is received.
E-transfer payment
If you choose to pay your fees by e-transfer, you must complete the online registration and select the cash option as the payment method. We will not process e-transfer payments without a completion of registration.

- A payment schedule will be sent to you by email if e-transfer payment is chosen. Payment will need to be submitted by the payment dates outlined above.
- If your payment is not received on time, there will be one attempt to contact you before your child is moved to a waiting list for their division.

E-transfers can be submitted to treasurer@crknights.ca
In the message section of the email transfer, enter the name of the person paying, your child's name and what level they are in.
When creating the security question, please use: What is the sport our children play? Use the answer: hockey

KidSport Oil Country Hockey Assist Program
The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation is proud to announce a $2 Million donation to KidSport to help grow the game of hockey in Oil Country for the 2023-24 season. The donation will fund KidSport’s Hockey Assist Program, through which qualified kids in Alberta from Red Deer and north will have their full registration fees covered and access to no-cost equipment.
